About the role

Job Description:
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, plows, seeders, and sprayers. Your primary duties include preparing fields, planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, as well as performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage various types of farming equipment, such as tractors, combines, plows, and seeders.
Prepare fields by plowing, tilling, and leveling soil.
Plant, fertilize, and irrigate crops according to seasonal schedules.
Harvest crops using combines, balers, and other machinery.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farming equipment.
Monitor crop health and make adjustments to equipment settings as needed.
Ensure the safety and efficiency of all farming operations.
Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and crop yields.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Collaborate with farm managers and other team members to coordinate daily operations.

Qualifications:
Proven experience operating farming equipment (e.g., tractors, combines, seeders).
Knowledge of agricultural practices and crop management.
Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
Physical stamina and the ability to work long hours, especially during planting and harvest seasons.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required for certain machinery.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in agriculture or machinery operation is a plus.

Work Environment:
Outdoor work environment, often in varying weather conditions.
Long hours, especially during peak seasons.
Physical demands include lifting, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods.
